Fluff Talk Thursday #14

How I Store My Cloth Diapers Before AppleBlossom was born we were able to attend a Tikes, Tots, and Teens Consignment Sale in Georgia and there we bought an awesome old (old as in made the same year I was born) changing table. You know the kind, with a top and two shelves with the spindle like bars? Well on those shelves go the storage boxes for the dipes.  Somewhere I saw a suggestion of using a toy bin organizer for diapers and that is what I desperately wanted. But we did not have the money for that. Enginerd was at the store and saw these Sterilite containers for a few dollars and bought several and now that is what we store our diapers in on the shelves. It is good, because when she grows out of one size we just snap on the lid and they are already “in. . .

Screen Play by Chris Coppernoll – Review

Screen Play: A Novel by Chris Coppernoll After struggling for years to make it as an actress, Harper finally gets her big break—but will she have to sacrifice the love of her life to take it?     At thirty, Harper fears her chances for a thriving acting career and finding true love are both fading fast. When she’s handed an unexpected role on Broadway—understudy to New York’s biggest diva––everything changes. She longs for love in the City, but when it doesn’t happen, she reluctantly signs up to an online matchmaking site. Frustration mounts when the only men Harper is interested in are on the West coast, thousands of miles away. Harper feels like an actress who doesn’t act, and a woman in love with someone she’s never met, but God’s about to change all that. My rating: 5 of 5 stars I have been meaning to read a book by Chris. . .

Baby Food Adventures: The Beginning

We have been exclusively breastfeeding since the beginning.  Well AppleBlossom did have one dropper-full of formula in the hospital right after birth because my Gestational Diabetes brought her sugar too low. Yet other than that, through good days and bad… very painful moments and learning experiences… to irreplaceable tender moments we have been blessed to breastfeed. In the last few weeks I have become curious about starting solid foods. We reached the five month point and she was so curious about dinner time that we tried some rice cereal.  We bought the Earth’s Best Organic Rice Cereal (14 Dec) that I mixed with some expressed breastmilk — let me tell you I am not a fan of expressing milk! AppleBlossom enthusiastically gobbled it up, but the preparation left me frustrated when I would just prefer to nurse her. Over the Christmas holidays, she literally attempted to grab a glass of. . .
