Product Spotlight & Discount: Sugar Sweet Baby #babywearing

Today’s Spotlight is for a neat little shop, Sugar Sweet Baby, that I discovered that specializes in BAMBOO baby wraps, but also carries other things such as hair clips and more. Without further adieu, let Lara introduce herself to you! Here is a little info on wraps and babwearing from my own experience:) When I first had my son over 4 years ago, I was so confused about baby products. I was my first friend that got married and pregnant, so trial and error is what I used as well as alot of researching and message boards asking other Mom’s their opinions. When it came to babywearing, I knew I wanted to wear my son. I loved the idea of the closeness as well as the functionality of it. So my search began for carriers. I literally tried them all. At first I did not even want to try a. . .

Safe Choices for a Ring Sling #babywearing

Advice from Li’l Peeper Keepers: In the current frenzy of babywearing comeback, it is wise to put in some research before purchasing a baby sling. When you look through our shop, you will find mostly natural fabrics in our ring slings collection – silk, linen, and tencel. We have chosen to focus on these fabrics for several reasons. Here are some of them: A baby carrier should be strong, easily cleaned, and breathable, right? Well, that’s what all of these fabrics are. First, they should be strong. Natural fibers tend to be strong, a characteristic that you definitely want in a baby carrier. Although single layer cotton slings may be inexpensive to produce and buy and beautiful to look at, we have chosen to direct our line away from that to more durable, while still light-weight options. Another aspect of the strength of a ring sling is the type of rings used. I mentally cringe when I. . .

Product Review: Comfy Joey Ring Slings #babywearing

While I was perusing the internet in search of pouches, I discovered a neat contact and found that she had changed to selling more ring slings instead (although there are a few pouches left on clearance!). After some discussion, Ayesha offered me a price on a ring sling so that I could acquire one for review (I promptly told SisterL and she bought it for herself, I’m just “borrowing” it *wink*). [Note: As with all my reviews, these are my own thoughts, and I did not promise a positive review.] Based out of the Metro DC area, Comfy Joey was started in April 2005 by Ayesha Ghatala, and specialized in high-quality baby slings. It was Ayesha’s own passion for babywearing that inspired her creation of her own line of slings. Comfy Joey also carries Doll/Toy Pouches, past Limited Edition Collections of Ring Slings, Rebozo Shawl Carriers, Cashmere Nursing Covers, Carrier. . .

Product Review: AppleCheeks #clothdiapers

With all of the diapers that I have been discovering when I found one with the name AppleCheeks, I just knew that we had to try it on our AppleBlossom. Just from seeing pictures, and then with the actual diaper in hand I could not get over how cute it is. Truly it is the most adorable diaper I have yet to see. At first, I had a real issue, because I just was certain that the elastic would not fit her legs and she is a little girl. I went and emailed their customer service and received prompt and polite replies to my questions (they must have thought me crazy!). The AppleCheeks diapers have some strong elastic in the legs and it is a different feeling that using other diapers. The pulling of the side, fully extending the elastic of the leg before snapping is very important. (Otherwise, you’ll. . .
