After hours spent dreaming in green fields covered with morning dew you whisper to your loved one, “what a beautiful day”. This was Orna Lalo’s inspiration for her Summer 2010 Lalo Treasures collection, The Birds and the Beads. The perfect summer accessory. The earrings are hand decorated and made out of resin which makes them light, comfortable and easy to wear. There are many more color schemes and designs available together with matching necklaces bracelets, rings and pins. Retail prices range from $30 up to $240.00 The earrings retail for $65.00. I’m not much of a fashionista, but I do love bracelets. They are the easiest thing for me to add to my outfit to set off some color and go. Thanks to ChicExecs I discovered Lalo Treasures and they sent me a set of five bangles “Wonderful Day”. They are great colors, very vibrant oranges and purples with some pomegranate red.

Made using resin, they are smooth and with the designs, you cannot help but pick it up and examine it further. With purple being my favorite color this was a great selection choice for me. I love the nature and free feeling of bangles and AppleBlossom loves to study them.

Orna Lalo, a graduate of the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design (Israel), is an outstanding original and imaginative designer. She designs fashion jewelry and accessories, and home decor, making surprising use of unconventional materials and of the unique technique that she developed for working with resin.

These creations are production in Bulgaria. The assembly of the designs is done by a woman in the local Bulgarian villages where they are empowered by training and job creations and take pride in being part of Orna’s outstanding creations as wlel as being a part of the creative process. They do the assembly in their homes which enables them to earn a living while taking care of their families at the same time.

Say yay for WAHMs! In addition to the bangles set, they also sent me a catalog for their current collection The Birds and The Beads. So many facinating designs and colors. There is so much to choose from. It is easy to say that you could find the right gift for any girl in your life. So flowing and free, I just love the elegance of these pieces. They really make me consider nature. I love it.
