The newest adventure in our New York Times bestselling series celebrates Dewey’s very first Christmas!
The holiday season is in full swing in Spencer — the lights are twinkling, the wreaths are hung, and Christmas bells are ringing. Inside the library, Dewey longs to be part of the holiday fun and after a series of silly misadventures, Dewey finds a way to add his own special touch to his beloved Christmas tree — and the results are Dew-rific!
A wonderful way to celebrate the season with everyone’s favorite library cat.
Though I had heard of Dewey Readmore Books before this children’s picture book I had not really been introduced and I’m delighted to know of such a sweet kitty cat. As a cat lover myself and admitted book-a-holic what could be better than a library cat? Dewey’s Christmas at the Library in a word is Dewey-lishious. Every page is filled with imagination and thought where this sweet kitty learns about Christmas and helps make it a special time. I’m delighted with this book and I will have to find myself a copy of the previous Dewey’s Picture Book in Dewey: There’s a Cat in the Library!

About Author
Vicki Myron, the former director of the Spencer (Iowa) Public Library, spent nineteen years with the real Dewey Readmore Books, who she rescued from the library’s book return drop on a freezing winter morning. This book, like all the Dewey children’s books, is based on Dewey’s real adventures in the library. Now retired, Vicki lives and writes in Spencer, Iowa, where she continues to be known as “Dewey’s Mommy.” She invites you to visit Dewey’s website at www.deweyreadmorebooks.com.
Bret Witter has collaborated with Vicki Myron since 2006 and has enjoyed every minute. He lives in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife and two children.
Steve James has always enjoyed making pictures. Steve received his BFA in illustration from Brigham Young University where he studied traditional painting techniques. He now lives in Lehi, Utah with his wife and crazy cat.

I’m going to have to check this one out … I’ve read the “original” book about how Dewey became the library cat, but I haven’t had a chance to pick up any of the picture books. Maybe I’ll name my next cat Dewey. My husband named our current cat when we got him about 15 years ago — Gustav, after the composer (my husband is a band director
