Baby Bond – Modest Nursing & Conversing

Sponsored by

As a long term nursing mama I’m always looking for the best thing to help us out. I have had some great success with Expressiva shirts, but it is frustrating to have to ignore half of my wardrobe just because I do not have the right top. Baby Bond is a great product that allows me to turn most any shirt that I can pull down from the top in to a nursing shirt. It is great that it is not the large nursing cover that goes over AppleBlossom. Those can be great, but it makes it difficult to see her and what is going on (not that it is as much of a big deal as it once was early in our nursing journey), but those can be hot and she continually would pull them off for all the world to see.

BabyBond Original is worn like a sash, functioning like a nursing top. Wear with shirts that are accessible to nurse from the top. Separate the layers of fabric to achieve latch on. Double panel keeps breast covered above and below. Mom’s postnatal belly and back remain covered with her own shirt. Built-in 9 x 12″ double layer terry velour burp cloth. Rolls up compact and stores in matching pouch. Machine washable. 100% cotton. Made in USA.

The first thing to mind when I pulled it out of the package was the carrying/storage case. I love that I can roll it up and put it away. Down into a diaper bag, purse or whatever else. It seems with many nursing covers you have to just fold them in a manner and stuff them away. But now I don’t have to worry about it, because it will be right where I put it.

I received the Baby Bond Flex in a lovely chocolate brown color that goes with just about everything. The Flex has a removable burp cloth that is very thick and durable and on the band that holds the cloth, I can also use any other number of cloths in our stash. When we were new to nursing in the beginning this would have been so valuable! Not having to worry about holding the cloth myself, or bending over and having it fall while I reach for something. Many a day I would have loved this.

When AppleBlossom was a newborn, this would have been perfect, but even now in her beginning toddler stage, it is the best type of modest nursing cover. With her wiggles and fidgets we can still get what needs to be accomplished and have an eye to eye smile conversation at the same time.

The material is so soft and we are definite fans.

  • I don’t think this product will work for me, since i don’t have many top-down shirts, and my very large breasts will stretch out any top-down shirts I did have, and I prefer to pull up my shirts anyway. I’m sure it would be great for many people, though.

    • I see what you mean. Did you see the couture option? It can be wrapped like a belly bandit or cover and then you can lift up instead of down.

  • Multi-purposing is great so I’d love the Baby Bond Couture in Riviera. Thanks!

New follower! (Kait). The Baby Bond Flex in a black size 2 would have to be my favorite. I’ve been itching to try one of these since I am constantly nursing my son in restaurants, stores, you name it, and some people stare and it definitely makes me uncomfortable. I live in center city Philadelphia, so you’d think people would be used to it!

Glad I found your blog, I’ve taken to reading loads while nursing!

slightly confused (and sleep deprived), what are the extra entries?

    • Sorry for the confusion Kait. Extra entries are the usual – tweet, email a friend, share on facebook, etc…

thanks! experiencing a dearth of brain power at the moment since little man loves his nighttime feedings 🙂
