Some of our favorite board books are a set from a collection called Veggie Values (<–My Review) and two of those books are these stories that are now DVDs! I could not be more excited to take something that we loved already and now have it on ever lasting and entertaining film.

We have this as a board book part of a VeggieValues collection. We are super excited that both are being made into a new themed VeggieTales DVD combining some older VT short films all about listening. Moral stories, personal examples and even Biblical lessons all add up to the same thing. In Larry Learns to Listen –> The importance of listening and gaining wisdom. Plus seeing Larry dressed as a wood cutter is just plain cute! We have previously seen and loved the shorter films of Pistachio and Josh and the Big Wall so it is very exciting to now be able to own them in this collection of learning to listen. Then with Bob Lends a Helping Hand it was great to be introduced to new-to-us shorter films within this DVD including Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry as well as Lyle the Viking. I love being introduced to more new-to-me and new to the world VeggieTales music and movies. There are so many things out there that I would rather my kids not see, and thanks to the wonderful people in Franklin Tennessee, they’re filled with Christian and valuable entertainment possibilities over and again.

As for the individual book Larry Learns to Listen, it is a long lasting lesson on both patience and learning to listen. Otherwise you might mess it all up for yourself like Larry with his brand new video game.
