“We’re all children of this great big
world-from Maine to Timbuktu”

Children and parents from all corners of the world will celebrate God’s blessings with bestselling author Allia Zobel Nolan’s fun-filled, interactive lift-the-flap book, HUGS & KISSES, GOD: From Kids Around the World (Zonderkidz; January 2012; $6.99).

Following the success of her previous multicultural children’s book, Thank You, God, Nolan again captures the spirit of God’s grace on every color-splashed page. With her signature rhythmic text, Nolan has an international lesson: recognize life’s every day delights as gifts from God. Her examples include everything from yummy pancakes and daisies on a hill to pink skies and fireflies.

The vibrant illustrations of artist Miki Sakamoto enhance the spirit of Nolan’s story, and a special surprise awaits young readers behind liftable flaps on every eye-catching page as children eagerly count their blessings.

Together, Nolan and Sakamoto deliver a true gift for preschool readers and homeschoolers from every ethnic background.

Last year I discovered Thank You, God and this year I found Hugs & Kisses, God. This is such a different type of Lift-the-Flap book for me and I’m a fan of it, the entire page folds out to extend just a little bit more keeping the book interactive. There is so much to learn within these pages that my toddler loves to ask about this, that and the other. Pink and purple also makes me a fan. :)
