And they will smile with satisfaction as the solution to his problem unfolds in simple, lyrical words and charming pictures from two award-winning picture-book creators.
When Little Bear can no longer fit into his boat he finds someone else who can use it.
I truly enjoyed Eve Bunting when I was introduced to her writing in her recent picture book Ballywhinney Girl, so I was delighted to see this vibrant blue board book. Love this book. It is a perfect read right now for my toddler daughter, now big sister, learning all sorts of tasks about being a big girl. It is her destiny to grow up and another little girl may be blessed by her little girl things and love them as she does.
Typed on Kindle Fire.

Bunting went to school in Ireland and grew up with storytelling. In Ireland, “There used to be Shanachies… the shanachie was a storyteller who went from house to house telling his tales of ghosts and fairies, of old Irish heroes and battles still to be won. Maybe I’m a bit of a Shanchie myself, telling stories to anyone who will listen.” This storytelling began as an inspiration for Bunting and continues with her work.
In 1958, Bunting moved to the United States with her husband and three children. A few years later, Bunting enrolled in a community college writing course. She felt the desire to write about her heritage. Bunting has taught writing classes at UCLA. She now lives in Pasadena, California.
