Has it really been since January 20th that I updated you on Blossom School? Seriously? Wow. I guess it got away from me in all the sinus stuff. Well you’ll be glad to hear that I have been feeling much better and antibiotic free for probably a month, now that it is April. Let’s see… where to begin…
Already AppleBlossom is very interested in having OrangeBlossom involved in most everything she does. Apparently it is her baby, and I’m just here to feed her (and change her). They definitely love each other’s company and that makes me feel truly blessed.
I am almost finished with SisterB’s Wuthering Heights Quilt. I have two more border sides to put on and it’s ready to be quilted. The only snag is that I still cannot afford the machine to be able to machine quilt it myself… so I’m trying to find someone to quilt it in an affordable fashion… but I would love to go ahead and be able to give this to her. It’s been years in the making! Two babies and three moves… Then maybe one day I’ll be able to quilt all of them that are ready to go!
OrangeBlossom has changed drastically in the last few months. She went from sitting assisted, to being able to get to sitting alone to an army crawl, then last week a knee crawl, and now pulling to standing! My goodness baby! You’re not even eight months old quite yet, you still have four days!!
OrangeBlossom has never been a cuddly baby, at least not in comparison to AppleBlossom so it’s interesting to see as she is more mobile (and teething – first tooth broke through this week!) that she is becoming more snuggly. I love that!
Monkey-doodle, I mean AppleBlossom has been begging to do school. So with the help of Printables from Over the Big Moon, 1+1+1=1, Lawteedah, COAH and more we’ve been printing, laminating and going going going! She loves cutting and we have been doing really well in our Let’s Cut Kumon Book, but we’ve gotten to a part that is too difficult, so I will have to find some other things for her to do until she’s ready for those spirals (cut to the star, stop, rotate, cut to the start, etc).
She is so proud of her puzzle.
She loves painting, and we just got some stamps (more info on that in a bit) and she’s loving her smock.
We’ve been working on Rainbows, and then now Easter.
I didn’t even tell her what to do this time with the coloring, she just jumped in! I think she’s getting much better at it. So I’m excited. That and she seems to enjoy it.
We’ve been reading Peter Rabbit (board book for OrangeBlossom). As well as The First Easter Bunny and many more great Easter/Spring themed books. (That could be it’s own post!)
We’ve started to get out a bit in the weather too. Which is good since my annual exam came back with low Vitamin D. So we’ll have to make an effort to go out even more. (Could the bugs just go away please?!) That and now that I’ve got a perfect dress for the weather, I’m delighted!
