From ballet class to rehearsal for the big show to the final curtesies—budding ballet stars show emergent readers each step and pirouette along the way! This Step 1 story has big type and easy words, rhyme and rhythm, and picture clues and two sheets of irresistably adorable stickers. It’s a natural for young readers who are learning ballet or aspire to take ballet classes.

What a delight! We are really into ballerinas this year and any additional story we can read featuring one makes a smile on AppleBlossom’s toddler face. Ballet Stars is full of rhyme and rhythm and friendly faces in the illustrations.  One I definitely think we’ll have to go buy for our ballerina collection. After this I plan to seek out more Step Into Reading Early Readers as well as other children’s books from Joan Holub. While I read an electronic review copy and did see the stickers, seeing the illustrations from Shelagh McNicholas I am quite certain those stickers will be very adorable indeed!
