Make your way to the ballot box-Mama is running for mayor! There are lots of improvements to be made in Bear Country, and Mama has a plan. She’s going to fix the roads, pick up the trash, and replace the broken streetlights. But when she promises too much, will the voters still think that she’s the best bear for the job? The Berenstain Bears continue the tradition of bringing engaging stories to beginning readers in this patriotic I Can Read.

Sometimes it is easier to talk about fixing problems. At least talk is definitely faster. In Mama for Mayor, Mama bear is unhappy with the condition of the Bear Country roads and decide she will fix them herself by running for mayor. The main of the book is about the election and it is only at the end when Mama seems to see words are easier than deeds that take time. Great for anytime, but would also be a great read to go along with a what people do all day theme.
