This evening I was completely blessed. One of the local churches that we have been attending quite a bit had a special Sunday, well really it’s been all weekend starting on Saturday and will continue in to tomorrow evening with several sessions by a special speaker from Answers in Genesis. This morning was good and full of information, but this evening the Enginerd stayed with the girls while they napped and then into the evening while I was able to go and put my whole attention and heart on the matters that were being discussed and I was able to truly digest the items from this morning as well. If you’ve been here at Creative Madness Mama for a while, you’ll already know that I enjoy and respect Answers in Genesis. But tonight really brought it all out even more and right now, I’m excited.

I’m excited! I’m thrilled that a ministry such as Answers in Genesis exists. Something like ICR (The Institute for Creation Research) as well as publishers like Master Books and New Leaf Publishing Group (more). Oh the blessings that God has provided through such ministries for the inquisitive. Being a born and bred Christian somethings were just a knowledge that I never really had a full basis on, just the fact that it is because it is and was. When it comes to things like how old the Earth is and how to give something a dated age I’ve had my own opinions and theories. But I never really press issues, because in a lot of ways I’m a peace keeper and hate to cause a frey. After all, it doesn’t always seem to black and white and there are a lot of areas that are grey with a lot of theory and hypothesis.

What is absolutely amazing about something like Answers in Genesis is the power of support and the amazing (okay so I need a better word than to repeat that, but…) apologetics of the materials that they provide. True sword and shield to defend the Bible and what it says. No doubting the word of Christ, just backing it up with science and study and strength and prayer.
