Merry Christmas, here’s a massive toothache…

Today I got the first part of a route canal and looking at the x-rays and the depth of the abscess this endodontist shared his “opinion” that this infection has been going on a while and is draining into my right maxillary sinus and very well may be the cause of all those sinus infections and the reason for my sinus surgery earlier this year.

What a pain the jaw!

    • Right back at you with the prayers Linda! I’ve been getting these sinus infections and repeating a million times of antibiotics and they were thinking that perhaps I just have really bad allergies suddenly. While I’m not delighted to discover I have such an infected root… I am excited to discover that it is not just allergies causing me to get sick. I’m just sad they didn’t find this on previous dental scans or the CT scans they took but I guess they were looking elsewhere. As this endodontist said their normal scans look at the tooth and not the root above it so they would have just seen the gold crown and stopped at that especially since there was no pain before this past week. I’m just glad we’ll fix it now!
