So, for an update. OrangeBlossom has croup. Steroids it is, and the fever is up and down. But we’re just dealing. Yesterday she was in my arms all day, today she’s all hyped up and crazy energetic. Gotta hate! love steroids in kiddos. But at least the swelling is down.

Today we went to the library for the first time this year. What is up with both librarians I interacted with being cranky? Seriously, would it hurt you to smile and not snap at every question I ask? Ugh. Maybe they hate me because I love books, because that would make sense right. … It took two trips to the car to deposit all my books and I didn’t even ask for help. I mean come on they’re busy, just standing there… right? No seriously, you don’t have to help me, but you can at least smile at me and my children so they don’t tell me they have nightmares about the mean lady at the book place. Geez.

Oh and my health front. Cannot seem to loose any weight, but the physical therapy on my hip is going well (too much exercise too fast from a birthing-never-recovered hip joint = Fun!) and my antibiotic is half done.

So now as to these four piles of books to add to my goodreads shelves… hmmm.. I’m getting to that.

  • Yay for everyone getting better and the new books in the house! 🙂 Oh my word, I wrote a post about librarians a couple years ago complaining about the same thing! Is it terrible being a librarian? Because I’ve always thought it was like my dream job interacting with books and book lovers all day. But so often they’re so either
    1. Look-down-my-nose-at-you for some reason I don’t understand.
    2. Glowering and grumpy and unsympathetic.

I don’t get it. Maybe they get yelled at so often by book lovers who don’t want to pay for their ruined books or want their book NOW but its late being returned by the previous borrow that they lose faith in humanity.

    • (Not EVERY librarian has been that way, by the way… one library I went to there was one younger woman who always had a big genuine smile on her face – loved her!)

      • Oh I know exactly what you mean. There was this one library and librarian that loved to hear about all the Christian Historical Fiction and children’s books that were coming out and would love to add them to the library. Next is a library that even with brand new donations they do not add them to the system but sell them for profit. Ugh.
