Now available in a three-book collection, the Berenstain Bears Good Deed Scouts make reading fun through the I Can Read! format.

In this collection of three stories, young readers will learn from the Good Deed Scouts just how important it is to serve others. Written in the level one of the I Can Read! standards, these bind-ups of stories from the Berenstain Bears Living Lights series are sure to please emergent readers. Parents will appreciate these quality stories that help children practice early reading skills and learn about caring for others. Books included in this collection are: The Berenstain Bears Mama’s Helpers, Help the Homeless, and Honey Hut Helpers.

The Berenstain Bears: Mama’s Helpers
“Give her any help she may need from you, for she has been the benefactor of man people…” – Romans 16:2

Another fun Christian Living Lights story featuring the Good Deed Scouts. This time around it’s Mama Bear’s turn to benefit from good deeds. Filled with silly Papa Bear, trial and error on cleaning tasks, memory making fun and memories returning to the surface.

The Berenstain Bears Help the Homeless
“Share your food with hungry people. Provide homeless people with a place to stay.” – Isaiah 58:7

Learning to help those in lesser situations is valuable to children. This Living Lights Good Deed Scouts is great to share a lesson on helping the homeless. A fun read and would even work well for Halloween or camping or anytime with ghost stories. Things are not always what they seem and the hardest part is getting past the surface.

The Berenstain Bears: Honey Hunt Helpers
“Each of you must respect your mother and father.” – Leviticus 19:3

We can never get enough Berenstain Bears. Papa Bear goes on a hunt for an old honey tree and the Good Deed Scouts come along to help. Lucky for Papa the scouts are there to help him out of bind after bind. Cute and fun. While a bit unbelievable that Papa would be so silly. It is great to see encouragement for younglings to help out. The Living Lights and Good Deed Scots are always fun.

Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962. Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Though Stan died in 2005, and Jan in 2012, Mike continues to create the delightful Bear adventures from the family home and studio in Pennsylvania, in an area that looks much like the sunny dirt road deep in Bear Country.
