You love the Little Angels animated DVDs from Touched by an Angel star Roma Downey! Now children can read along with their favorite Little Angels characters as they experience 100 best-loved stories from the Bible. With each Bible story, kids will learn simple concepts such as numbers, letters, colors, basic life skills, and moral lessons. The 100 Bible stories include fun illustrations and simple activities to encourage imagination and challenge children’s cognitive skills. Also included are “life applications,” short prayers, and verses from the New Living Translation that kids will want to hide in their hearts forever! Parents, grandparents, children’s ministry workers, daycare staff, and anyone who wants to help young children build a solid faith foundation will find this book to be an amazing resource for encouraging kids to grow in God’s Word.

I love the padded cover, the colors, the illustrations are fun too. This is all around a great little Bible storybook with activities and interaction already planned in including a prayer to possibly memorize.

We’re not much for TV so I came into this Bible Storybook not having seen the Little Angels TV show, but after spending time with this darling cast of Angels on paper I’m sure the show would be darling as well. It starts with a character glossary to introduce the angels and then there are 100 favorite chosen stories both from the Old and New Testaments. Each story has a scripture reference, retelling, a kid friendly application, an activity suggestion, prayer and a further memory verse scripture to read and possibly memorize. At the end after all the Bible stories are some fun things including Special Bible Verses to Remember, The 10 Commandments, Facts about Angels, Miracles of Jesus and author biographies.

The illustrations are very bright and cartoon-like, but tons of fun. I am very impressed with this little storybook especially in the “I just learned…” applications. Even my preschooler enjoys reading in this one and I truly can see her learning. To have a Bible storybook to teach and challenge my daughter as she grows in her knowledge of scripture and hopefully faith is the goal and definitely accomplished here.
