Literature: Around the Year by Tasha Tudor
A Year with Friends by John Seven, illustrated by Jana Christy
Julie Andrews’ A Treasury for All Seasons
All the Seasons of the Year by Deborah Lee Rose, illustrated by Kay Chorao (available as a bargain at $6!)
What a delightful read this book is. I have indeed found a treasure in this story and artistry from Abrams Books for Young Readers that I was not expecting. All the Seasons of the year goes through with Mama and child things to do and time spent well together. Easily this is a book to read any time of year or day and will also make a great bedtime book. I love the kitty cats and so did AppleBlossom. In my mind this kitten could be a boy or girl depending on how you see them and I think that is great. I am very impressed by author Deborah Lee Rose and artist Kay Chorao and look forward to more titles from the both of them. Highly recommended.
