Blood glucose
I’m so frustrated! Had a full dinner with chicken, cream and rice (so I had the protein and carbs). After my BG was 109 (shouldn’t be quite that low after a “hearty” meal). So I ate more, added some lemonade and a bit later some chocolate chips. Trying to sleep and felt funny so I checked again at 1:30 and my BG is 62! I’m so frustrated! I’m suppose to take this Rx at night to be lower in the morning, but I’m bottoming out at night and high in the morning!

The Girl in the Glass by Susan Meissner {Review}
Renaissance is a word with hope infused in every letter. Sophia, Meg, and Nora’s stories intersect, their lives will be indelibly changed as they each answer the question: What if renaissanceisn’t just a word? What if that’s what happens when you dare to believe that what is isn’t what has to be?

What on Earth Can I Do? (What We Believe, #4) {Apologetics Curricula Review}
*This post is updated with my new format on May 3, 2015. My decision to homeschool started before my first child was born and one of the things that I have had on my wishlist ever since (just waiting for it to be appropriate) is the apologetics curriculum from Apologia Educational Ministries ~ (http://Apologia.com). It is my blessing to have the opportunity to review the What on Earth Can I Do? curricula. In my experience, apologetics is something that should be a requirement of Christian education, but so often kids are left on their own to figure things out. Sure there is a bit of Sunday School that is give or take whether it is is…

Creative Madness of Historical Author Karen Witemeyer!
Instead of the usual author interview, Margaret gave me the option of discussing some of my own "Creative Madness" and sharing one of my favorite hobbies with you. I couldn't resist. Especially when I saw that Margaret herself shares my passion not only for reading Christian historical fiction but for cross-stitch.

Then I was drafting out a “plan” post for the summer and fall to come this year when I stumbled upon the calendar for the TOS Crew where I had the option to participate in a blog carnival with the theme of sharing my Favorite Curriculum Choices. How appropriate that my mind is already here!? I figure that I could just…

Hand, Foot, & Mouth Disease – anyone?
So I’m going off my own nursing school and mama diagnosis here, but I’m fairly certain the girls have HFMD if not just another virus. Yay me! AppleBlossom started it on Thursday with random tears, complaints if everything aches, pin sized rashes on her feet and that night with a 103 fever. The next morning was with a similar rash on her hands, more complains of all over aches and pains which we wondered if was growth pains plus rash. She later started to show what looked like big bites on her legs and random fingers. We wondered about growth pains and chiggers. But then I was fairly certain about…
