Who wants to hear about a baby?

So… how many people think this post is long over due? Geez… I just haven’t been able to force myself to the computer… But I definitely have been writing blog posts in my head. (Man I miss my old G4!) Anyway. My son, Almond Blossom (probably shorten Almond) to all you blog folk was born on July 14th at 4:27pm, at least I think that’s what time it was… it was five and half weeks ago you know and a bit of a hectic day at that.

Birth story in short: 38 weeks 3 days, less then ten but definitely more than five trips to the hospital for pseudo false labor, including 2-3 weeks of prodromal labor staying at 4+ cm. Following two girls with both silent labors that were fast after a water break, we were a good bit nervous. On a Friday, I saw my OB (after she was on va-cay for two weeks) and had she been there (knowing my history) I think we would have already had a baby a week earlier. She had me come in Monday, checked in, broke water, had a baby!

A 10 (TEN!) POUND baby boy at 20.75″ aux naturale. I’ve been told many times now that “I am woman”. Thank you very much. All is happy, healthy and well. Shortly after, much like after OrangeBlossom, I was up and ready to go. Totally vibrant, totally mentally with it and breastfeeding right away.

He had a few weeks in the newborn clothes and diapers, and now is pressing it on some brands of 3mo onesies, but others are still good to go and same with the newborn diapers, some are put away already and some have a bit of time left. I’m thinking he’s about 11.5 lbs now at 5.5 weeks.

I’ve been posting pictures on FB because it’s just so easy and fast to do… but I’m sure you want to see too… (I’m pretending he’s not screaming in my arms right now as I re-situate him in hopes to grab a few more minutes typing and clicking…)

He’s getting so big! Wait, what am I saying! He started out BIG! He’s cute, too:) Love the comb-over!
Hugs and kisses to the 0, 3, & 5 year olds for me!

My last boy was 9 5 and we stayed a week in the hospital and well he was born too big for the NB diapers there! 🙂 Looks like you’ll be doing what I did this past year, it felt like as soon as I took out the next size clothes, I either had to change it for the other season or the next size up! I think he skipped 6-9 month all together. He’s been in 18 month since he’s been 9 months now and I THINK *cross fingers* he’s slowed down….though there are a lot of 24 months he’s wearing, I should just switch him over…sigh…not even one yet!
