Brave Girls: Faithful Friends: A 90-Day Devotional {Review}

  I was first introduced to Brave Girls through the storybook bible which we adore. Then we got pink t-shirts that are still a preferred favorite today. Yet after that, I got my hands on Faithful Friends a 90-day devotional. This is a little paperback book that is perfect for toting around and will fit in any little bag, I often catch it in my daughter’s backpack. There are illustrations, however in this book they are solely black and white. Faithful Friends is a devotional collection written for multiple different personalities and there is something for everyone within these pages. Each devotion will include: A relevant opening scripture from the Bible A thought-provoking devotion to build a young girl’s spirit An engaging closing prayer to help the reader navigate her day! A Curious Beginning (Veronica Speedwell) by Deanna Raybourn {Review}

  First in a new historical mystery series about intrepid Victorian England adventurer Veronica Speedwell Following my reviews you know that I spend most of my reading hours in the realm of Christian Historical Fiction; however, there are a few authors that are in the general fiction market that I gladly and eagerly jump into their novels. Therefore, I realize this recommendation is not for everyone who reads my normal reviews. With that said, A Curious Beginning is an amazing book and a wonderful start to a new series with an author divined with a creative mind Deanna Raybourn. I absolutely loved the Lady Julia Grey series that I started reading on recommendation of my author friend Michelle Moran and I devoured every additional story. Deanna does have another series set in the 1920s that I have not entered into yet. Stepping back into 1887, Veronica is an incredible character.. . .
