In the Arms of an Angel is ready for beads #WIP #xstitch

Well here she is folks. I found one skipped stitch of 815 in her skirt while adding in the @kreinikthreads 002. As well as one skipped blended stitch of 815/3371 too. I will be able to fill those in. But I’m out of 002, so I need to decide if I’m headed to my LNS or online to 123stitch.com. I doubt my @joann_stores will have the #kreinik . #crossstitch #xstitch #WIP #28count #wichelt #morningdew #jobelan #crossstitcher #crossstitching #craftbloggers #crossstitchaddict #crossstitchersofinstagram #stitchersofinstagram #stitchmaynia #xstitchersofinstagram from Instagram: http://ift.tt/2bABR1O
She is ready for beads. This freaks me out a bit as I haven’t ever added beads to my cross stitch before. I guess truly she is my first more advanced cross stitch. The first one I’ve stepped away from kits and Aida fabrics. I know I have two of the three colors that I need of Mill Hill Beads so we will have to see what I decide to do next.

In July, for a distraction, I got a lot of new cross stitch projects together including charts and fabric to go with them. What do you think about this one? I have only seen one picture of this project stitched out and she had done a conversion making it very pink rather than red. I definitely think I want to the red. I fell in love with this pattern when I saw it released as a kit. . .

Collision of the Heart by Laurie Alice Eakes {Review}

Originally published as The Professor’s Heart from the Love Inspired Heartsong Presents line, this story has been updated and renamed appropriately Collision of the Heart. I stumbled across this novel last week when I was looking for an eARC to download before a road trip. I know that I have always enjoyed Laurie Alice Eakes stories and thus I decided I would give this one a try. From my understanding, another author friend had recommended the circumstances of a train wreck in Laurie Alice’s home state and this was her story creation of possible events. I was enchanted from page one. While I may be the rarity and do not see myself as much of a feminist, I appreciated the desire for independence from our heroine as she struggles with her passion for research and journalism and her love for a local boy now man that she has grown to. . .

Plans for 2016-2017 Homeschool Year {Blog Hop}

Yesterday I waxed on and on about the curriculum choices for the upcoming year including a Toddler, Kindergartener, and 3rd Grade Student. Today I want to touch base a little bit on planning. It’s the 5 Days of Homeschool 101 this year and will be taking place from the 8-12th of August 2016!! There are daily themes and these include the following: Monday – Curriculum Tuesday – Planning Wednesday – Home Management Thursday – Traditions Friday – Encouragement Over the last 5-6 years that I have had homeschooling my children on the brain, I have been planning. I write things on notebook paper that inevitably get thrown away. I have tried to use online planners, but can never seem to get it quite right and keep on task with it. Especially when there are some weeks that I just want to run from technology. I have read, and re-read books such. . .

I have tried to hold her back, but she just keeps on trekking forward with more and more challenges. We have enrolled her in the Veritas Press Scholars Academy Diploma program (VPSA) with a variety of Online Live, Online Self-Paced, Teach at Home Diploma, and extra-curricular. . .

CTC Math Online Maths Tutor {Review, 3rd year}

In 2014 we were introduced to CTCMath and discovered the benefit to an online school program and the joy that can be found with such an addition to our homeschool day. CTCMath has been renewed in our homeschool going on our third year, and we are reviewing this one-year subscription to CTCMath Homeschool Membership thanks to our participation with the TOS Homeschool Review Crew. What a blessing this is! CTCMath is an online math program. We successfully use it on my iMac desktop, Linux-based Ubuntu laptop running a moderated Chrome browser, iPad1, iPad2 both in the Safari browser with little to no issue. We’ve enjoyed it in years past, and this year my turning-five-years-old-next-week daughter is really getting the benefit of the program as well! We use the program daily during the weekday and sometimes on weekends as well. The girls are both eager to work with CTCMath and consider it a reward. . .
