Changes in the air, circa 2018
Good morning. 🤩
In 2017, I didn’t have a blogaversary, although, I suppose I could have as September last year marks ten years of blogging for me. Or, truthfully, I suppose I could go back even further if I counted my old online diary during college in the days before blogging. What was that called? Xanga? Ha 🤣 That seems like a lifetime ago… The last few years in blogging things for me have changed as the rules have become intense.
What used to be a creative outlet, became a list of how-to pointing out everything I was doing incorrectly. When it was just, supposed, professional bloggers I ignored it, but now laws and threatened fines are involved. After discussion and prayer and a lot of thought we have decided I do want to keep the blog alive, thus a few changes must be had.
Creative Madness Mama
Creative Madness Mama is my online adventure and avenue to share with you. Cross stitch, quilting, other creative projects and art, homeschool chaos, camping, sibling interaction and bliss.
- I want to fill those to-read lists with ideas.
- I want to give you a peaceful place online for inspiration and creative sparks for the next needlework project.
- I want to share curriculum products we find and love, as well as ones we’ve tried for a season.
One of the things I’m trying to wrap my head around is how apparently to be successful as a blogger, subscribers are mandatory. It used to be a check box, but then it became a list. Now, most recently it was an opt in for the freebie type catch and I tried to stay out of all that. However, now it is law for entertained with certain readers and those annoying boxes I lived trying to avoid over the last two years are required. So, forgive me about the “cookies”, but I have to add that sliding pop-up in.
More
I will be trying to get back to task. I was criticized for too many reviews and not enough personalized posts, then I was bullied about being too personal in posts, then I just started different for fear I’d writing the wrong thing. So now, I’m pointing for a new philosophy… I’m working to write to you, my friend and hopefully you’ll find what I have to say is slightly intriguing and enough to wander back again for one day. And then, hopefully I will write more.
(No spam, I promise. Just creative madness ramblings, reviews and life-stories, with quilting and cross stitch inspiration in between!)
