Or maybe still. This morning started with a very familiar repeat of OrangeBlossom being ill. I’ve been out of town and on the phone with the peds office but opted to go beyond a phone call and go in to see the pediatrician. Also because of the crazy amount of bruises she’s been sporting lately. We’re thinking it is a virus still… and now has caused a low platelet count. Food Network star Tyler Florence is back with another picture book showing where food comes from and how it’s made. In Tyler Makes Spaghetti!, Tyler and his dog, Tofu–the heroes of Tyler Makes Pancakes!–want to prepare their favorite meal. The pair go to Chef Lorenzo Mascarpone for information on making spaghetti and meatballs. They imagine a trip around the world to gather all the fresh ingredients for pasta and tomato sauce. Then it’s back to the kitchen where Tyler discovers that cooking his favorite food is as much fun as eating it! Status

Home again, home again…

Okay, so I’m home now and back to my computer. We had to jump and go to Georgia as my father-in-law passed away after a rough battle with cancer. We’re all very sad and still a bit surprised. In an update to AppleBlossom and OrangeBlossom’s health, both were sick off and on for several more days and then after a 3 AM Emergency Room visit for AppleBlossom followed by a two-day stint for myself to be violently ill… we’re going with stomach virus. However with the root canals and sinus infections having me on and off antibiotics in the last two years as well as the fact that I do not have a gall bladder I was set up for failure and was about 10x worse than the girls. (But thank God! they were not that sick!) AppleBlossom was fixed in about five minutes after some Zofran, so we’re all on the mend.

However, I’m about 3,000 emails in debt. So if you need me and I haven’t responded. Please consider that I haven’t seen your message and feel free to poke me again. :)

The Book of Crafts for Jr. K is brand new, it was not available when we first started. In the lesson plans I was queued with something like “Make a gingerbread craft” or “Madeline Craft”, but there was nothing more than that. Previously what I did was searched pinterest for great ideas and went from there. However, now with The Book of Crafts, no searching on my part is necessary as they are all laid out for me.
