Wee Sing Bible Songs

When I started researching things that I wanted to implement into curriculum and start purchasing since I’d use them for years, one thing that kept coming up was Wee Sing. First it was mentioned, I think, in The Well-Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer and Jessie Wise. Then again I saw it often in the references and catalogs from Veritas Press. Then again in the Memoria Press forums and again and again. Then when I started into the Animal Play Curriculum it was Wee Sing Animals Animals Animals. I knew I would have to get my hands on these.

King Hugo’s Huge Ego by Chris Van Dusen

0763650048

Hugo is a tiny king with a very large ego. But when he mistreats a villager who also happens to be a sorceress, the spell she casts causes his head to literally swell. The more he boasts, the bigger it gets, until it finally topples the mini monarch right off his castle! Who will cut this royal pain down to size? And, more important, will anyone live happily ever after? Chris Van Dusen’s hilarious story is matched only by his outrageous illustrations. In Too Deep by Mary Connealy

In Too Deep

In 1866 Colorado, Ethan Kincaid agrees to a marriage of convenience with the same casual disregard he gives every decision. Audra Gilliland, young mother of two, accepts his proposal because she wants to stop being a burden to her newly married stepdaughter.

Tribal Church Lead Small, Impact Big by Steve Stroope with Kurt Bruner Foreword by Rick Warren {Preview}

God’s biggest assignments have always been entrusted to those leading a small tribe. From the twelve families of Israel to early Christians who met in one another’s homes, great leaders begin by serving a core group of people who ripple outward for ever-extending social and spiritual impact. They go big by leading small.

Today, leaders don’t fail because they lack vision. They fail because they neglect their tribe. It could be a father losing sight of his family, a lead pastor failing to leverage the strengths of his staff, or a small group coordinator ignoring a tiny but important process.

Tribal Church helps pastors recognize the potential and power of various tribes within their congregations—one family, a network of small groups, maybe an entire age group—and then recalibrate ministry efforts to maximize the impact of each. Steve Stroope has spent three decades mastering the art of leading small in a church that has multiplied from dozens to over ten thousand. He explains why big impact does not come from any sort of mega-church ambition. It rather comes by attending to the little details and the smallest tribes.
