Yesterday was a busy but good day. I’m really having issues with being cold though. It seems to especially be my right hand. I just cannot seem to keep it warm. *sigh* AppleBlossom does not seem to mind anything though. As a matter of fact her room is so cold that I cannot stand to go in there to change her diaper. Have you noticed the background of my blog? Do you know what that is? It’s a quilt block. When was the last time you saw something quilt-like on my blog? This is going to be a wordy post. As this was originally a conversation response on Facebook, but then it got too long for my wall… The nursery originally was painted with a satin kitchen and bathroom sage green paint below a natural wood chair rail installed by the Enginerd with a Vanilla type color above it. The doors to the closet and the door inside the nursery was also painted with the green. The far wall with the window had paneling that we put up that was a beautiful natural color. It was gorgeous. As I go through some of the clothing that is from my childhood I have discovered some cloth labels that say in a blue print simply, “Made with Love by Mardi” or “Made Especially for you by Mardi”. I love those labels. They remind me of how good my mother is with a sewing machine and make me smile. As we have started to try to get MadebyMardi up and running over on etsy (madebymardi.etsy.com) I have been thinking about labels.
