Plan Time to celebrate the Holidays & Christmas Season with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast!

Beauty and the Beast

I recall when I was a little girl going with my mother and one of my sisters to the local Turtles Movie Rental store to rent a movie. I chose Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas and have loved the movie ever since. My daughter was about two when we stumbled across a beaten up old VHS of the movie to add to our collection, but it only worked on the one VCR which is now broken (anyone have a VCR to give?!). Anyway! I am delighted that this year you can add the delightful Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas to your family library on DVD!! Disney’s epic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast continues with the release Beauty and the Beast The Enchanted Christmas just in time for the 25th anniversary of the original animated classic. The Enchanted Christmas tells a tale set within the story of the original. . .

When Calls the Heart: Heart of the Family DVD {Review}

When Calls the Heart DVD Review

As a family, we do not own cable, satellite, or any of those services. We do own DVDs and use a subscription service or two for streaming videos. Last fall, I stumbled upon When Calls the Heart, the series, or the first season rather on one such service and with my girls we curled up and watched episode after episode day after day. In years past I read the book which the series is based on with the name When the Heart Calls by Janette Oke. I enjoyed the book and the first season, thus when a review opportunity came up from FishFlix.com ~ (http://www.FishFlix.com) to watch a DVD featuring Movie 3 from Season 2, When Calls the Heart, Heart of the Family, I was ecstatic. The problem that I find with subscription services is that the material is always changing, while when you own it on a physical DVD you can watch it anytime and. . .

Pirate’s Code movie {Review}

Last night we had the privilege as a family to watch Pirate’s Code. As the movie started I got the idea that perhaps this was a sequel as there were several statements and hints to this being a follow up. It took me a while to discover that indeed there was another movie called The Adventures of Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure (2012) while my DVD is Mickey Matson and the Pirate’s Code (2015). There also appears to be a third, yet unnamed movie planned according to http://www.mickeymatson.com/. In this follow up to Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure, Mickey Matson is at it again; this time pitted against the evil Admiral Ironsides and his gang of pirates who are intent on destroying civilization.  They’re new invetnion, the Tesla Coil, is a weapon of mass destruction that will send an electromagnetic pulse throughout the world, destroying every electronic device. . .

Adventures in Odyssey Adventure Club – join today for just $5!

Are your kids in need of a safe and fun environment where they can explore, create and imagine, all while developing their faith and learning biblical truth? Enter the Odyssey Adventure Club (AOC)! When I was a child the music on the radio was not something that I desired to listen to (I’m still not into 80s/early 90s music…), so I ended up listening to Oldies and radio theatre. My favorite program was undeniably Adventures in Odyssey. I listened live on the radio and could quote the mailing address by heart and even wrote a letter to Connie back in the day… I still have set of cassette tapes that I’m really looking forward to sharing with my daughters (if only I could find a tape deck, eventually!). I also have a few CD sets that we’ve listened to from time to time. I’m really hoping as they get a little. . .
