Little Women (movie) a modern retelling in theaters
Little Women When I was a young girl, a movie portraying the story of Little Women came out on VHS which we later owned and over the years I have seen more times than I could count. As one of three sisters, I always loved the story of four sisters. Over the years, while the book has been on my to be read pile, I have gone back to the film version again and again. Now, the newest generation will have a 2018 modern retelling of the classic story of family and fellowship. Do you remember as a little girl how your imagination could fly? Which March sister do you…

Paul, Apostle of Christ Movie {Giveaway}
I can still remember the complete silence as the theatre emptied when the film Passion of the Christ ended. It was vespers silence, where everyone felt touched by the portrayal of Jim Caviezel and others and they presented the story of Christ’s sacrifice. Now it is time to feel that again on the big screen in this theatrical release of Paul, Apostle of Christ, this Easter season. Nobody is beyond God’s mercy. Coming from Sony Pictures Entertainment, specifically AFFIRM Films, again staring Jim Caviezel with other talents of James Faulkner, Olivier Martinex, and Joanna Whalley the story comes to life. PAUL, APOSTLE OF CHRIST is the story of two men.…

Plan Time to celebrate the Holidays & Christmas Season with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast!
I recall when I was a little girl going with my mother and one of my sisters to the local Turtles Movie Rental store to rent a movie. I chose Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas and have loved the movie ever since. My daughter was about two when we stumbled across a beaten up old VHS of the movie to add to our collection, but it only worked on the one VCR which is now broken (anyone have a VCR to give?!). Anyway! I am delighted that this year you can add the delightful Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas to your family library on DVD!! Disney’s epic fairy tale…

When Calls the Heart: Heart of the Family DVD {Review}
As a family, we do not own cable, satellite, or any of those services. We do own DVDs and use a subscription service or two for streaming videos. Last fall, I stumbled upon When Calls the Heart, the series, or the first season rather on one such service and with my girls we curled up and watched episode after episode day after day. In years past I read the book which the series is based on with the name When the Heart Calls by Janette Oke. I enjoyed the book and the first season, thus when a review opportunity came up from FishFlix.com ~ (http://www.FishFlix.com) to watch a DVD featuring Movie 3 from Season…

Pirate’s Code movie {Review}
Last night we had the privilege as a family to watch Pirate’s Code. As the movie started I got the idea that perhaps this was a sequel as there were several statements and hints to this being a follow up. It took me a while to discover that indeed there was another movie called The Adventures of Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure (2012) while my DVD is Mickey Matson and the Pirate’s Code (2015). There also appears to be a third, yet unnamed movie planned according to http://www.mickeymatson.com/. In this follow up to Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure, Mickey Matson is at it again; this time pitted against…
