I love this. Taking out the special pages from The Story for Children and enlarging and elaborating on them for the Christmas season. As long as I can remember, to me, Max Lucado has been a trusted name and source in Bible study and devotional resources. When I stumbled across The Story for Little Ones I could not be more pleased. Little Ones encompasses ages 2-5 while The Story for Children: A Storybook Bible I believe is meant for ages 4-8. This is part of a large campaign that includes all ages. The Story for Children (early elementary), The Story for Kids (later elementary), The Story Teen Edition, God’s Story Youth Edition, and then the adult books in The Story, God’s Story Your Story, and a few more. I think from what I have seen (my copy of The Story for Little Ones, God’s Story Your Story (reviewed) and a. . .
From the bestselling author of The Jesus Storybook Bible, Sally Lloyd-Jones introduces a book for teens that teaches them of God’s love.
In the bestselling The Jesus Storybook Bible, author Sally Lloyd-Jones explored the connections and wonders throughout the Bible to show children how one giant love for humanity pointed to one small baby who would grow up to be the one perfect person who would make things right again for everyone. But that amazing story isn’t only for kids.
Now, in The Story of God’s Love for You, the same award-winning, theologically rich, and sophisticated content of The Jesus Storybook Bible is available in a trade book format perfect for teens and adults who want a version just for themselves. With a stylish two-color interior design and composite artwork from Jago, this is an edition perfect for study, daily inspiration, or as a gift.

This book has made it on the list of required books for the Simply Classical Level 1 Curriculum a Special-Needs equivalent for 1st Grade. The Simply Classical program is where I found this book, but it is a great one that all children on any spectrum can enjoy. The Creation Story for Children is really three books in one. The first 15 pages are The Story of Creation for Children, pp. 26-31 are pages with details about God’s Amazing Creatures with details and talking points for discussion with children, and pp. 32-39 are pages that divide up the 139 Psalm with illustrations. While this is a new recommendation to me, this is not actually a new book. Originally copyright 2000 and more. . .

We’ve experienced An epic story of love and forgiveness, suffering and restoration and now we have the opportunity to read about Wisdom that came as God’s gift, but sacred love was forged through passion’s fire… what’s next? What made you interested in writing Christian Historical Fiction? Do you write any other genres? My first love has always been studying my Bible. I love discovering the rich historical and cultural settings that bring to life the deeper meaning of a Scripture passage. When I sought out publication for my study on Song of Solomon, I discovered quickly that no one wanted to publish anything from a li’l ol’ pastor’s wife from Indiana—especially a Bible study on the Song of Solomon! One editor told me, “I couldn’t get Billy Graham published on the Song of Solomon much less a first-time author!” So when you can’t go through the front door, you swing. . .
