One of the fears in the back of my mind as we obtain various baby items is where will I put this when she’s older? I do not want to get rid of them, since I want them around for future children… hmm… storage issues! Another fear that I have in general is that while she’s this little anytime we socialize she’ll just have to play here and invite people over — we cannot go anywhere because her toys just do not travel well. *sigh* Well I am uber glad to have found the Infantino Twist & Fold Activity Gym! Similar to the way you twist and fold up a Pack ‘n Play/travel yard you can do the same with this little gym and off you go (or into the closet it goes!). I love smart toys that think beyond the play time! The Twist & Fold Activity Gym All. . .
Have you ever found one of those companies that whenever you see their products you smile and want to buy it even if you already have a dozen? Well that is how I feel about Green Sprouts. Just one of a million things that I love about Green Sprouts is that they are consistently BPA and PVC free products. They are committed to providing non-toxic products for feeding our babies through toddler-hood. Plus they are just plain adorable! It seems to be that they specialize in bottles and cups, but they do not stop there as they also have available bibs, rattles, teethers, and a shopping cart cover to help protect your little one from germs. Their website(s) are extremely valuable with information. In example, they have great charts that break down good suggestions on which cup for what stage baby as well as bibs that make sense in stages. . .

I used to giggle a little to myself at two months and then four months of age for AppleBlossom when people would ask me, “Is she sleeping through the night yet?” She has been sleeping through the night since two weeks old! Yes when she was very newborn, she’d slightly wake, nurse and then go back out for another several hours. It was a very healthy situation for all of us. That is until she turned six months old. I do not know what happened. Nothing changed except she got a few teeth, then later an ear infection, but we are all miserable. She did not get the teeth until April, and the ear infection/yeast infection in May. Now she will not sleep through the night. She will not fall asleep alone anymore and it used to be no effort. It is only in the swing or on my chest. . .
AppleBlossom is nine months old! Can you believe it? It does not seem that long ago that I was pregnant… wow. And now my baby is no more baby baby, she is not quite a toddler, but she is a woddler (my new favorite term thank you Abingdon Press). It seems like there are things that she is ahead of the curve on and I hear that is good and bad. As my SisterL states, she does not encourage early walkers… As of the first week of April we had the beginnings of one tooth, then April 20th we had a second tooth! So now we have our two bottom front teeth in all their painful glory. We have learned how to be purely pitiful. 😉 When she was about the right time to learn how to roll over, I thought she would never do it. She was so frustrated. . .
Every once in a while you find that toy that makes you (as a mama) squeal and say “Must have!!” That is how I felt when I first saw Blabla Kids Rattles. They are too cute and I am completely in love! I was delighted to find out that Blabla Kids is located in my home town of Atlanta, Georgia and that’s only one of dozens of great things putting them in my favor. Ever since I can remember I have kept my eyes open for that cutest toy for a future child. After AppleBlossom was born that desire did not change. As a matter of fact the only thing that did change with that is that when I bought said cute toy, I no longer had a guilt of buying it for the future. (Just ask my how much yardage of fabrics I bought with lambs on it before. . .
Lately whenever people ask, “How is AppleBlossom?” The first thing out of my mouth is always a three word answer. “She is teething.” That pretty much sums it up. It explains the sleepless nights, early mornings, whiny afternoons, extra cuddly snuggles, non committal fidgets, crazy sloppy kisses, multiple dress changes from a soaked front, no appetite to famished and absolutely adorable partial toofie smiles. And then of course, so much more. As you can imagine, she wants to munch on everything. Paper especially, but that’s a tale for another day. One of the hardest things is finding something that she is happy to chew on for a while. Something to ease her pain and bring the slightest bit of distraction as well as entertainment. As I mentioned before, we love our RiNGLEY! Yet now I have also discovered something new and fabulous, simply Oh Plah! bend twist roll bite play. . .
Do you remember when I first introduced you to Silikids? I love Silikids and when AppleBlossom is ready to really drink out of cups we will surely have a great supply. Thanks to Hilary Abbott Communications I found out about this great Earth Day deal from Silikids. What a bargain!! SiliEarthpromo My thoughts on Silikids Siliglass
Finally at eight months we are breaking gum on some teething!! One front center is through the gum, and you can see the other one under the gum. Coming soon I’m certain!
There are just so accessories that are too cute for words and the Bugalug Soother Clips are one of those, but I will try to find words appropriate. Thanks to Erica Pieszak, we were introduced to Bugalug (Stay-Put accessories for the Urban Girl) and am I ever glad to have found them!

So, if you’ve been hanging around this month, you’ve been able to meet Rebecca, the Mama behind Li’l Peeper Keepers and you have heard how much I absolutely love her Tencel Twill Ring Sling. And just maybe, you’ve already entered into her giveaway for a TOY pouch sling (if not go back here to find out more…). Today I want to tell you about something else that she has available for babywearing folk like me. Woven Wraps. Most people think “stretchy” when it comes to wraps, but there is another option in a woven wrap, and ultimately in the long run more practical. As woven wraps have less stretch, they will better be able to hold a heavier child (such as a toddler or older) without sagging or stretching out. *Thanks to Li’l Peeper Keepers I was able to try out a gauze woven wrap with a decorative panel that. . .
While I love my SleepyWrap, another neat wrap company that I have discovered is Wrapsody. While the pricing for a Wrapsody:Wraparound Baby Carrier is more expensive these are completely unique and hand dyed which makes them more costly to make, but they are indeed beautiful. Wrapsody carries two main types of baby wraps in the Bali Breeze and Bali Stretch, but also has Water Wraps and accessories (sometimes Wool Wraps). *Thanks to Colleen of Gypsy Mama, LLC I was able to do a review of a Bali Stretch and then pass it on to LLL International as a donation to another Mama in need.* If I had the budget, I would buy myself one of these in a heart beat! Bali Stretch: These are soft and silky — soft like your favorite T-shirt. The process of hand-dyeing and batiking removes much of the lengthwise stretch but leaves the widthwise stretch,. . .
This giveaway is now closed, but please enjoy the review. My first experience with a wrap was not a positive one, but so many people rave about them I was thinking that perhaps I had just picked the wrong one. After doing a little research and reading I discovered the SleepyWrap. *Thanks to Ashley of NAP, Inc for providing an Organic SleepyWrap for review!* As soon as I received the wrap and pulled it out of the matching drawstring bag I knew I was in love. Past experiences with a wrap that belonged to SisterL of a best selling wrap had caused me to doubt my desire to babywear via a wrap, but SleepyWrap has completely renovated that idea for me. I can honestly say that I am terribly sad that I did not know about SleepyWrap when AppleBlossom was a newborn, but now I know and will be prepared. . .
