Veritas Press Self-Paced Online Bible Old Testament 2: Judges to Kings {Review}

It is no secret that the Creative Madness Mama family is a really big fan of the Veritas Press company. These past few weeks many families of the TOS Review Crew have spent time reviewing different products including the Self-Paced Bible with three review options for the crew including the following: Old Testament 1: Genesis to Joshua Old Testament 2: Judges to Kings New Testament 1: The Gospels We are reviewing Old Testament 2: Judges to Kings for the crew review and continuing it for our 2016-2017 school year for my entering third-grade daughter (she will turn seven-years-old during the summer months). The other product for the crew reviews is a one-year family subscription to VeritasBible.com. Just out of love for the products you can also find another review of Old Testament 1: Genesis to Joshua on Creative Madness Mama as well. Grapevine Studies: Old Testament Overview, Part 1 {Review}

Following the blog you might have noticed a coupon in the month of October for Grapevine Studies, as I have taken on their company as a new affiliate. Today I have the joy of sharing with you a review of one of their downloadable products. In the last year or so I’ve been collecting their eShorts and freebies and making a list of what to buy to go along with our other studies. Most recently (and for this review) we have been working through Old Testament 1: Level 1 (ages 6-8) and Traceable (ages 3-5) and a Teacher Book for OT Levels 1 & 2. We received a digital download, a PDF, and I printed a few pages for my four and six-year-old daughters to participate. I originally printed the traceable pages for only OrangeBlossom, but AppleBlossom was a bit jealous (and drawing from scratch is a bit of a new concept for her). . .

The Ology: Ancient Truths Ever New by Marty Machowski (Systematic Theology for Kids) {Review}

A theology primer for children… Several years ago, I was introduced to the writing of Marty Machowski through The Gospel Story Bible. The illustrations were a bit loud for my taste, but the writing and the scripture coming across was solid and good for sharing with my children (who do appreciate the wild drawings). Then in the last year I discovered Long Story Short (a devotional) on Kindle. I’m hoping that one day I will also find Old Story New go on sale there as well. Now when I saw that a new book, The Ology was coming out I had to jump for an opportunity to review it. I’m so blessed that I am able. Little background, c’est moi. One of my degrees is a bachelor of arts in religious studies. Thus, I have read a lot and I definitely want my children to read something that can explain what others believe so they can. . .

Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9 {Movie Review}

Creative Madness Mama reviews Galaxy Buck film

Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9 is a must-see for all ages, from VeggieTales creator PHIL VISCHER! Kids will enjoy Buck Denver’s latest adventure with his friends from What’s In the Bible? and parents will appreciate the humorous nods to Star Wars and Star Trek. More importantly, Phil Vischer’s gifted teaching delivers a clear message to kids and adults about God’s love and purpose for our lives. Galaxy Buck communicates important Biblical truths that will add to everyone’s faith foundation, whether a life-long Christian or a new creation in Christ.

The Creation Story for Children from Master Books {Review}

The Creation Story for Children {Review} from @CherryBlossomMJ

Purchase Answers in Genesis’ most popular resources at great sale prices— shop today! I’ve found myself a fan of Master Books and Memoria Press’ new Simply Classical Curriculum. This book has made it on the list of required books for the Simply Classical Level 1 Curriculum a Special-Needs equivalent for 1st Grade. The Simply Classical program is where I found this book, but it is a great one that all children on any spectrum can enjoy. The Creation Story for Children is really three books in one. The first 15 pages are The Story of Creation for Children, pp. 26-31 are pages with details about God’s Amazing Creatures with details and talking points for discussion with children, and pp. 32-39 are pages that divide up the 139 Psalm with illustrations. While this is a new recommendation to me, this is not actually a new book. Originally copyright 2000 and more. . .

Miss me? I know I’ve been a bit remiss. I keep thinking of things to blog, but the matter of just getting to the computer lately has been a bit hectic. One of the things that is completely fabulous about the TOS Review Crew is the opportunity to meet new companies and learn about products previously unknown to me, such as Wizzy Gizmo. Say what? Wizzy Gizmo ~ (http://www.wizzygizmo.com) Nifty name ‘eh? Well, Wizzy Gizmo has quite the line of products for Christian Education for Children, but I what I have to talk to you about are a New Testament series of review cards.
