Before Amen and Before Amen Prayer Journal. These last few weeks at my church in the Thursday morning Women’s Bible Study, we’ve been reading together through ‘Before Amen’ by Max Lucado. Let me tell you, I adore Max’s writing, it always touches my heart and soul. Last year I endured through Ann Voskamp’s ‘One Thousand Gifts’ and this year it was ‘Before Amen’. Boy… Max and Ann really know how to grab your heart strings! While I purchased the ‘Before Amen’ book from the church to go with the study, I was blessed to get my hands on the ‘Before Amen Prayer Journal’ from the publisher as well as a gift of some key fobs. What a wonderful gift! I gave out the key fobs to everyone in our class and it was a perfect number, God planned ‘eh? Max has come up with a miniature prayer to get the. . .
With the compassion of a pastor, the heart of a storyteller, and the joy of one who has seen what God can do, Max explores the story of Joseph and the truth of Genesis 50:20. What Satan intends for evil, God redeems for good.

Are your kids in need of a safe and fun environment where they can explore, create and imagine, all while developing their faith and learning biblical truth? Enter the Odyssey Adventure Club (AOC)! When I was a child the music on the radio was not something that I desired to listen to (I’m still not into 80s/early 90s music…), so I ended up listening to Oldies and radio theatre. My favorite program was undeniably Adventures in Odyssey. I listened live on the radio and could quote the mailing address by heart and even wrote a letter to Connie back in the day… I still have set of cassette tapes that I’m really looking forward to sharing with my daughters (if only I could find a tape deck, eventually!). I also have a few CD sets that we’ve listened to from time to time. I’m really hoping as they get a little. . .
This is a different type of post for me. Often I have a desire to write a wrap up post for the month, but it just doesn’t happen. It seems like things just keep getting away from me and craziness sets in and there are so many things I want to share with you. So I’ve decided (in the last split second) that perhaps I will have some more “thoughts” posts in addition to my full polished reviews. Here is one… Right now I have bookmarks in a lot of things (isn’t that normal?!?!) and hopefully I’ll get a good many things reviewed and shared over the next few months. The original plan was to take December and January off from blogging, but with the surgeries, sicknesses, miscarriage, and most recent head cold I’ve already taken enough breaks for now and want to try to use some of this time. . .

A full year’s worth of insightful and empowering devotions written by a homeschooler for homeschoolers, who are juggling the needs of building a home and caring for their family while striving to instill faith and values in their children-available in beautiful hot pink Italian Duo-Tone.
You pray for others–but are you forgetting to pray for yourself?
Through these two books, my young preschooler daughter is getting a heart of prayer and a foundation of devotion time fairly regularly. She loves to memorize and recite prayers and this is such a precious time and set of memories for me that was helped to form and be created from the organization and recommendations of the Memoria Press Junior Kindergarten Curriculum.
Do you know someone who needs some encouragement? Perhaps that someone is you.
In When God Makes Lemonade, author Don Jacobson has collected real-life stories from around the world that show everyday folks discovering unexpected sweetness in the midst of sour circumstances. Some are funny, others are sobering, and more than a few will bring tears of amazement. But these true stories all have one thing in common: hope.
There’s no question that life gives us “lemons,” like issues with health, employment, and relationships. But when those lemons become lemonade, it’s as refreshing as a cold drink on a hot summer day.
It’s true that in life “stuff” happens, but as you’ll see in these stories, Lemonade Happens too!
