Purchase Answers in Genesis’ most popular resources at great sale prices— shop today! In the beginning of February, I told you about an awesome book from Answers in Genesis that made me really want to get this one too! If you missed that review, make sure to check back and read about Unwrapping the Pharaohs (review) as well. Many years now, I have slowly been collecting books for our studies. After all, I have known that I wanted to teach Classical Christian Education since my AppleBlossom was just a thought and now our studies for Ancient Egypt are finally here and we use these resources daily. At first, I found myself confused as I was just going on memory and thought that indeed Unwrapping the Pharaohs and Unveiling the Kings of Israel were, in fact, one book until I started writing out my lists and then I was shocked to discover. . .
Bestselling Author Tracie Peterson Launches Exciting New Series Set in 1890s Montana Who is ready to head back to Montana in the 1890s in a new historical series with the fabulous storytelling imagination of Tracie Peterson? I know I am! Tracie Peterson was one of my first introductions to Christian Historical Fiction with a series set in Montana, so I’ve always been fond and thus I’m delighted to head back to a similar place and time period for a new story.
Secular textbooks and videos discredit the biblical account of Exodus. Those who wish to defend the accuracy of the Bible now have an incredible tool—this book provides compelling confirmation of the biblical account. (90-minute DVD included.)
I’m not familiar with Kimberley Woodhouse, but I know and love Tracie Peterson so I definitely think I’ll be wanting to give this novel a try. Apparently it is a second story written by this pair. What a great way to start out your reading this year with a new historical.
In this new novel from the acclaimed author of Secrets of a Charmed Life, two women working in Hollywood during its Golden Age discover the joy and heartbreak of true friendship.
It’s a new year coming soon, and a new opportunity to participate in a challenge for reading Christian Historical Fiction. I know this year is going to be awesome! The more participants we have, the more giveaways there will be. You can also sign up and participate through the Goodreads group as well if you’d like. (I love it because of the widget that tells me just how many books I’ve read! And it’s automatic to counting a book if it’s found on the Christian Historical Fiction shelf.) Now here’s for the fun… Every month, a new post will be created here on www.ChristianHistoricalFiction.com with an opportunity to participate. (Guests are invited to post as well, just ask!) Everyone can participate, even those who do not have a blog or a Goodreads membership (just use the comments section to add your book title and thoughts if you desire). Add the link(s). . .
Now, if you know me, you know I love my books. But I have to tell you that I absolutely adore omnibus editions! Getting an entire trilogy under one cover excites me to no end! I cannot explain it, but it is pure delight! Now you can get the entire Lone Star Brides trilogy in one book by Tracie Peterson. I think they did a great job of combining the covers.
Can you believe it is time already for another Tracie Peterson novel?! I have about a dozen or so go-to authors that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy before reading or previewing and Tracie is one of them. Her stories always make me think and her characters are always so real with the quirks and personalities that come to life off the page. Everlasting Love, the third novel is the Brides of Seattle series is available now to finish out the series started with Steadfast Love and continued with Refining Fire this past summer. First in a new historical mystery series about intrepid Victorian England adventurer Veronica Speedwell Following my reviews you know that I spend most of my reading hours in the realm of Christian Historical Fiction; however, there are a few authors that are in the general fiction market that I gladly and eagerly jump into their novels. Therefore, I realize this recommendation is not for everyone who reads my normal reviews. With that said, A Curious Beginning is an amazing book and a wonderful start to a new series with an author divined with a creative mind Deanna Raybourn. I absolutely loved the Lady Julia Grey series that I started reading on recommendation of my author friend Michelle Moran and I devoured every additional story. Deanna does have another series set in the 1920s that I have not entered into yet. Stepping back into 1887, Veronica is an incredible character.. . .
The first in the new ‘A Class of Their Own’ series If you read my post about reasons to read an e-novella then you know how I first discovered Jen Turano was through a freebie that I stumbled upon and I knew immediately that I had found a new favorite author. Since then I have been delighted with all the stories in the Ladies of Distinction series and now I’m finding myself to have the same opinion of the A Class of Their Own series. Through a fluke I actually was able to read In Good Company (my review), the second in the Class of Their Own series before I finished After a Fashion and while they can easily stand on their own as independent reads, they do build the story with friend (and friendly!) characters. In November 2012, I was given the Christian Fiction Blog Alliance Best Tour Review. . .
In the beautiful rolling hills of West Virginia, Rose McKay seeks a measure of success–in business and in love. Judith Miller is an author I have yet to read, but I hear her books are great. Another release is available for your summer reading pleasure in her Refined by Love series, now. 🙂
I was shocked years ago when Sarah Sundin published her first novel and it easily found it’s way to being my favorite read novel ever. So, of course I’m delighted that she has a new series coming out. Continuing in her military Christian Historical Fiction romance genre with women in the service, the Waves of Freedom series starts with book #1 Through Waters Deep. I cannot wait to get my hands on it! It is absolutely on my wish list! It is either in stores now or nearly so as last I checked it said releasing July/August 2015! Resources Excerpt Download PDF
