Cross Stitch #WIP Updates (November 2017)

Should I even try to look up to see how long it has been since I made a stitchy update on the blog? I mean beyond an Instagram re-post, an actually, hey this is what’s up with me and my needle post… hmm… Let’s not and just pretend I’ve been here all along. Well, in all honesty, since the last time I was rambling here I have had three finishes including In the Arms of an Angel (Lavender and Lace 47), Woodland Enchantress (Dimensions Gold Collection by Ruth Sanderson aka Christmas Fairy), and Patriotic Angel (Dimensions Gold Collection). This is in addition to the earlier finish of my oldest daughter’s Holly Hobbie (Bucilla) birth sampler which I believe I have shown you previously. Through out this year and last I have been stitching away, but things have been chaotic with taking a new avenue in our homeschooling methods as well. . .

The Raven Queen #WIP #xstitch

Making progress and this tower is finished. While working on the border something isn’t quite adding up but I think it was the spire which is in negative space anyway so I think I will just leave it.
Really enjoying Mirabilia’s The Raven Queen on Sunny Dyes Raven painted opalescent fabric.

Cross Stich Update (September 2016)

This past year, my love for the sewing needlework art of cross stitch has taken me by surprise and a powerful passion. While I have been stitching on and off since around the age of fourteen, when I made my first stamped cross stitch quilt… This year I have discovered all sorts of new techniques and challenges and I’m loving every minute with a thrilling excitement. At this point, I have started two HAED projects (long term, huge one over one designs of full coverage). The Raven Queen (new start!) #wip #xstitch

Done for the night. Started her skin 1×1 (28 count Laguna) and I’m realizing the next stitch on her arms is meant to be a blended stitch. Any suggestions???? #wip #crossstitch #xstitch #theravenqueen #crossstitchaddict #crossstichersofinstagram #crossstitcher #xstitchersofinstagram #28count from Instagram: http://ift.tt/2c5kiFQ

Hello there, dear readers…

Crazy times, ‘eh? Well! My email inboxes are exploding and apparently are incapable of being tamed, but I’m trying! We went on a family vacation to a South Carolina beach and the kiddos all go to be introduced to the ocean and the concept of waves for the first time. That was fun and a good distraction for physical and mental healing. I have been busy cross stitching and going for lots of distraction these days and honestly, I am getting better. Interestingly, I gained a bit of weight with this last pregnancy, but since it did not take the normal route it did not shed as quickly. So please, pray for me to figure that out. I’m hoping a little more seriousness with Trim Healthy Mama and South Beach Diet will help. *Some affiliate links included. I’m working on some children’s picture book reviews. I just finished an amazing. . .
