In the beginning of February, I told you about an awesome book from Answers in Genesis that made me really want to get this one too! If you missed that review, make sure to check back and read about Unwrapping the Pharaohs (review) as well. Many years now, I have slowly been collecting books for our studies. After all, I have known that I wanted to teach Classical Christian Education since my AppleBlossom was just a thought and now our studies for Ancient Egypt are finally here and we use these resources daily. At first, I found myself confused as I was just going on memory and thought that indeed Unwrapping the Pharaohs and Unveiling the Kings of Israel were, in fact, one book until I started writing out my lists and then I was shocked to discover. . .

The Creation Story for Children from Master Books {Review}

The Creation Story for Children {Review} from @CherryBlossomMJ

Purchase Answers in Genesis’ most popular resources at great sale prices— shop today! I’ve found myself a fan of Master Books and Memoria Press’ new Simply Classical Curriculum. This book has made it on the list of required books for the Simply Classical Level 1 Curriculum a Special-Needs equivalent for 1st Grade. The Simply Classical program is where I found this book, but it is a great one that all children on any spectrum can enjoy. The Creation Story for Children is really three books in one. The first 15 pages are The Story of Creation for Children, pp. 26-31 are pages with details about God’s Amazing Creatures with details and talking points for discussion with children, and pp. 32-39 are pages that divide up the 139 Psalm with illustrations. While this is a new recommendation to me, this is not actually a new book. Originally copyright 2000 and more. . .

Abide with Me: Photographic and Musical Journey by John H. Parker {Review}

Abide with Me

This is a fabulous book! I could easily see this sitting out on a coffee table for years to come or a guest room bedside table for enjoyment. Also, this book is a perfect gift idea for my father. Written by John H. Parker and filled to the brim of photography by Paul Seawright, this square-shaped book is a perfect historical lesson on Christianity’s most famous British Hymns and their authors lives. Each chapter gives an oral history of the hymnist life and a photographic journey of those locations in modern day.
