If you were around Creative Madness Mama in March, you may have experienced some of my fabulous reviews and adventures with babywearing. Thanks to Mom Central and Infantino I was able to experience an Infantino EcoSash. I have seen these in BRU and they have some great patterns and designs. ECOSASH – Wrap & Tie Carrier The EcoSash is designed with style and comfort in mind. It has a natural, form-fitting design that adjusts as baby grows, plus three carrying positions and a whole bundle of features, accessories and surprises. You’ll be ready to roll with a detachable hood, reversible fabric prints, extra padding, and a mesh washing machine bag. Much in the same way that I loved the Big Sister Designs Mei Tai and the TogetherBe Mei Tai, the Infantino EcoSash is similar, but different. It also has features that are like a soft structured carrier like Belle Baby. . .
It was January when I introduced you to one of our favorite AppleBlossom accessories, the No Slippy Hair Clippy. In that post I also mentioned the collection of ©pediped® NSHC (hair clips that match shoes!!!). Today I get to rave to you about another favorite accessory that we could not live without (okay maybe we could, but we do not want to!) our ©pediped® Shoes!!
A couple months ago, I wrote about how we had discovered and fallen in love with Avent Contemporary Freeflow Soothers Pacifiers for AppleBlossom. It just so happens that at six and a half months we are ready to get her some of the next size. Originially, we bought the 0-6 month sizes and now just bought some 6-18 month. It is great to see the new patterns and to see her curiosity at inspecting them. It’s really cute. If I can get a picture I will show you what I mean. If you missed my original post, you can go back and read it here. The reason I am bringing up that old post about the pacifiers is not only because we just bought some more, but through ChicExecs I found MyPacifier.com and they have some personalized pacifiers made of the Avent Soothers!! I was so excited and requested them. . .
Bellala Baby Exquisite Infant to Toddler Car Seat Covers, slings & accessories www.bellala-baby.com Our Story…Bellala Baby was founded in 2005 with the birth of my niece Isabella. She was the first baby girl born to our family and we were so thrilled after having three boys. In an effort to make something quite special for our newest family member I made her a carseat cover all in pink posies and butterflies… she was going to be a girlie girl whether she liked it or not. This first gift lead to many requests and suddenly I was in business without much effort besides a love of creating and the time to make it happen; I had been an at home mommy to my son Nickolas since May of that year. Since then countless mommies have come to us to create something special for their little angel. We are pleased to have. . .
When I first started looking into babywearing what I wanted most was a pouch. The idea of throw it on, grab the baby and go is absolutely appealing to me. Especially around the house or running errands. Yet when I started to shop around for pouch carriers I was a bit overwhelmed. For one, you may have heard in the media lately about all the dangers associated with bag pouch carriers. For more information on Babywearing Safety, check out the facebook page with all sorts of articles here. The pouches that I was looking into are different than the sling bags and the thing that I noticed when I was first checking out some of the sites were the safety guidelines for use (and this was before all the media hype). One of the first companies that I discovered is New Native Inc and right on their front page they. . .
This giveaway is now closed, but please enjoy the review. In talking about wraps, you have heard me rave over my SleepyWrap that is super stretchy, enjoyed previewing a Wrapsody that is semi stretchy, and become curious of the different types of woven wraps available from Li’l Peeper Keepers. Today, I want to tell you about a company you may not have heard about, but I love SnuggyBaby! SnuggyBaby wraps are much like the SleepyWrap. They are different, I do not know how to explain it really, but SleepyWraps are a big more stretchy, but not by much. SnuggyBaby are also made out of 100% Organic Cotton French Terry and they have a decorative panel in the middle. *Thanks to Jo of SnuggyBaby I was able to review a Torquoise Dream Wrap and it is divine!* Snuggy Baby wraps have everything that you could want in a wrap; comfort, support,. . .
While I love my SleepyWrap, another neat wrap company that I have discovered is Wrapsody. While the pricing for a Wrapsody:Wraparound Baby Carrier is more expensive these are completely unique and hand dyed which makes them more costly to make, but they are indeed beautiful. Wrapsody carries two main types of baby wraps in the Bali Breeze and Bali Stretch, but also has Water Wraps and accessories (sometimes Wool Wraps). *Thanks to Colleen of Gypsy Mama, LLC I was able to do a review of a Bali Stretch and then pass it on to LLL International as a donation to another Mama in need.* If I had the budget, I would buy myself one of these in a heart beat! Bali Stretch: These are soft and silky — soft like your favorite T-shirt. The process of hand-dyeing and batiking removes much of the lengthwise stretch but leaves the widthwise stretch,. . .
With all of the diapers that I have been discovering when I found one with the name AppleCheeks, I just knew that we had to try it on our AppleBlossom. Just from seeing pictures, and then with the actual diaper in hand I could not get over how cute it is. Truly it is the most adorable diaper I have yet to see. At first, I had a real issue, because I just was certain that the elastic would not fit her legs and she is a little girl. I went and emailed their customer service and received prompt and polite replies to my questions (they must have thought me crazy!). The AppleCheeks diapers have some strong elastic in the legs and it is a different feeling that using other diapers. The pulling of the side, fully extending the elastic of the leg before snapping is very important. (Otherwise, you’ll. . .
Yesterday, I shared with you my introduction the Mei Tai through Big Sister Designs. Today, I want to tell you about another great company with a beautiful Mei Tai of their own (plus so much more). *Thanks to Melanie Frenkel of Signature Public Relations and TogetherBe for providing a Theresa Freehand Mei Tai baby carrier for review.* This is the Mei Tai that had the instructions for a hip carry. At first it was pretty confusing to me, but after a few tries I had it down and love it! The Freehand Mei Tai comes in six different prints named for women of history (Amelia Earhart, Princess Diana, Harriet Tubman, Mother Theresa, Marie Curie, and Janis Joplin) that are fully reversible to a solid color. The shoulder straps are padded (but not as squishy soft as Big Sister Designs). A Mei Tai is a way of holding your baby close. . .
There are several different types of baby carriers out there. The frame structured carriers such as the Kokopax and then next to the soft structured carriers like the ERGObaby Carrier, Boba Baby Carrier or the Belle Baby Carrier there are carriers such as the Mei Tai or Podaegi. Today’s review is of my first introduction to a Mei Tai. (My babywearing series photo is also a picture of a Mei Tai from TogetherBe — look for a review tomorrow!) While searching around Etsy (preparing my mother’s shop) I discovered Big Sister Designs. Through some messages back and forth I found that the shop owner Maria and I have several values and interests in common such as quilting, breastfeeding, cloth diapering, babywearing and Christianity. She is easily the type of merchant that I would want to do business with. Browsing around her shop I discovered not only an incredible receiving blanket. . .
In March 2009, at four months pregnant, my friend Lindsey introduced me to Belle Baby Carrier. Knowing how SisterL was a fan of babywearing, I was fairly certain it was something that I would pick up. But even if I did not really get into babywearing all the time, I knew that I could and definitely wanted a baby carrier to have around. Through a giveaway I was able to win a Belle Baby Carrier in Cherry Deco and boy was I ever excited! I found out that I won right after Enginerd was laid of, so it was a surprise and unexpected joy that had me addicted to babywearing my AppleBlossom ever since she was able to hold up her own head. If I remember correctly, I believe she was about eight pounds and note quite a month old. (It was more when she was able to move her. . .
As I first started my research on babywearing, the carrier that I first came across and the one that for all appearances seems to be the favorite of all families is the ERGObaby Carrier. There is no better feeling than holding your baby close! *Thanks to Hannah Sullivan of ERGObaby for providing a gently used ERGObaby Carrier and new Infant Insert , a component of ERGObaby HandsFree system.* I was extremely excited to try out the ERGO and when it arrived I was at first surprised at the waist buckle length. As I will tell you on Wednesday, my first introduction to babywearing was via my beloved Belle Baby Carrier and that waist strap is long in a way that I would never question if it might fit me, but with the ERGO I questioned it. It did fit, but being still in a postpartum body I opted for their. . .
Can you say OMGoodness how very cute?! That is my exact response when I first placed my eyes on Canopy Cards. Thanks to ChicExecs I discovered Canopy Cards and I am in love. Why should sleep-deprived parents do all the work? Start your baby on the path to doing their share early with canopy card’s baby thank yous with jest. Written from your smart-alecky baby’s perspective, these little gems say it all (so much so that exhausted momma can even just sign and send while still earning her thank you note brownie points….) All letterpress text with swiss dot envelopes, one might say [outside]: hate to brag [inside]: but I look seriously cute in these new threads you sent. Or the ever-popular [outside]: i’m drooling over what you gave me [inside]: okay, so sometimes i just do that. i still love what you gave me. And for those parents who. . .
siliskin glass 6 oz. silicone covered glass Toddlers want to drink from a ‘big kid’ cup. Silikids makes this easy to do with a small silicone covered glass. Easier to hold and protected in case of accidents, a Siliskin Glass is a great improvement to children’s glass tableware. At the beginning while shopping for the necessities for AppleBlossom I knew that I only wanted glass bottles and that is how I ended up with a 4 oz and 8 oz Munchkin glass bottle. But after a memory from while I was pregnant of being out in a restaurant and having a family drop a glass bottle and hearing it shatter the idea of glass made me nervous. But with the Munckin Silicone Bottle Sleeve that is not a worry. Call me crazy, I with all of the issues going around about BPA this and that I wanted to know what. . .
Today I found out that I might need to go to Georgia for an extended visit to help my parents out with something. My first thought, was well AppleBlossom is portable I can do that. Now what to take… the first thing that came to my is our RiNGLEY. I am not leaving here without it!! RiNGLEY is the original Canadian natural teether that combines two efficient teething tools: untreated Maple wood and 100% organic cotton terrycloth. RiNGLEY provides two very different textures that enable children to satisfy their teething needs. Made free from dye and without harmful chemicals. RiNGLEY provides babies and toddlers with two safe and efficient textures that enable children to satisfy their teething needs. By far, I can tell you that our RiNGLEY is the best thing that we have gotten for AppleBlossom since she started teething. We have tried the cold gel filled teether rings, washcloths,. . .
Perfect for giving and receiving, Child to Cherish holiday gifts include decorative Handprint Christmas Ornaments to celebrate a child’s first Christmas and capture the memory of their precious little hand forever. A colorful gift box stores the memory for use year after year. Another great Holiday Collection gift item is the “Plant a Tree for Me” Christmas Pine Tree Seedling Kit. *Thanks to Hilary Abbott Communications, Inc for providing a sample for review.* Without a doubt, we have received one of the best gift ideas this year. The first Christmas of your child is a time to remember forever. With money tight from the unemployment stuff and new baby and blah blah blah gifts are not extremely practical for a child who will not retain the memory of the “first Christmas event”. But… the first Christmas is too important to forgo. Something simply, yet unique and extremely eloquent is the. . .
