Cross Stitch #WIP Updates (November 2017)

Should I even try to look up to see how long it has been since I made a stitchy update on the blog? I mean beyond an Instagram re-post, an actually, hey this is what’s up with me and my needle post… hmm… Let’s not and just pretend I’ve been here all along. Well, in all honesty, since the last time I was rambling here I have had three finishes including In the Arms of an Angel (Lavender and Lace 47), Woodland Enchantress (Dimensions Gold Collection by Ruth Sanderson aka Christmas Fairy), and Patriotic Angel (Dimensions Gold Collection). This is in addition to the earlier finish of my oldest daughter’s Holly Hobbie (Bucilla) birth sampler which I believe I have shown you previously. Through out this year and last I have been stitching away, but things have been chaotic with taking a new avenue in our homeschooling methods as well. . .

Fall Faerie #WIP #xstitch Update

This periwinkle shade and deep purple is just amazing. Has to be my favorite color ever. I know some people dislike specialty stitches but I love combinations of half crosses, blends and deep textures. Just loving it. ❤️ #dimensionsgoldcollection #pointdecroix #ruthsandersonart #ruthsanderson #xstitch #xstitchersofinstagram #fallfairy #autumn #flosstube #crossstitch from Instagram: http://ift.tt/2A5bo4g

Cross Stich Update (September 2016)

This past year, my love for the sewing needlework art of cross stitch has taken me by surprise and a powerful passion. While I have been stitching on and off since around the age of fourteen, when I made my first stamped cross stitch quilt… This year I have discovered all sorts of new techniques and challenges and I’m loving every minute with a thrilling excitement. At this point, I have started two HAED projects (long term, huge one over one designs of full coverage). I discovered Heaven and Earth Designs when I was looking to complete my seasonal fairies from a beloved artist Ruth Sanderson. I had started out with two Dimensions Kits of Fall Faerie and Woodland Enchantress. Right now, I have one completed page of four finished on the fall faerie and the woodland enchantress is completely stitched except for a bit of backstitching and beads. I. . .
