A cranky philosophy professor who loves to shred the faith of incoming freshmen is asked by a group of scientists to create a philosophy for a computer-generated world exactly like ours. But when every attempt fails, he realizes that the only way to save the computer world is to create a character like himself to personally explain the rules that govern their society. After a rival releases a virus into the virtual community, the professor must program himself into a computer-generated world in order to save society from a computer virus – and its own immorality.
