– starting the morning

‘Wayfarers Ancients’ – starting the morning with Tot, PreK, and LG (lower grammar). 5 year old reading aloud from ‘The Beginners Bible’ while her 3 year old sister listens and their 6 month old brother is flailing at a board book copy of ‘The Beginners Bible Book of Prayers’. On other days I’ve read the same Bible story from our ‘Family Reading Bible’. In the next time through Wayfarers Ancients we will use the ‘Egermeier’s Bible Story Book’. I partially want to read it now. But with AppleBlossom (5) reading basic stuff now as she does well in her phonics it makes more sense to have her read something on her level. After all another four years she’ll be 9 and Egermeier’s definitely works then. And I’ll have the Toddlers version of that to go along then as well! And now back to reality. He’s six month old today!!

Currently reading… Doon.

Genres: Christian Fiction, Romance

Last night I stayed up late in the night reading Doon by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon (Blink YA Books). It’s so captivating! While earlier I would say any teen could read it, the more I get into knowing the characters I strongly recommend it for a mature teen (13 & Up) that is ready to be exposed to things such as kissing and romantic emotions as well as teenage attitude. It has some fairly harmless things in vocabulary and such, but so far overall the story is worth it…

It seems like things just keep getting away from me and craziness sets in and there are so many things I want to share with you. So I’ve decided (in the last split second) that perhaps I will have some more “thoughts” posts in addition to my full polished reviews. Here is one… Right now I have bookmarks in a lot of things (isn’t that normal?!?!) and hopefully I’ll get a good many things reviewed and shared over the next few months. The original plan was to take December and January off from blogging, but with the surgeries, sicknesses, miscarriage, and most recent head cold I’ve already taken enough breaks for now and want to try to use some of this time. . .
